I have been vegetarian since I was nine years old. I lived in the country and the meat that arrived on the table was from calves or other animals that I knew and had been feeding and petting. To me there is no difference which animal you would choose to eat, dog, pig, calf. Most meat eaters would be horrified to eat a dog I think. I don't quite understand it, but I think that they put dogs and cats into a different category of animal from other mammals.
For me anything that has 2 eyes is not something that I wish to eat.
I do eat cheese and yoghurt and coffee with milk at times, so I am not vegan. I feel that that would likely be better, but it's not where I am.
Mostly I eat raw food only these days, but I eat some cooked food too. For me a kitchen where no meat or fish is cooked is best. A kitchen that doesn't contain any animal fats that might get used for cooking when I wasn't looking. Or any gelatine or other products taken from dead animals.
